Most components are locked, as its translation is a waste of time. There is an undergoing discussion about fate of this project. Due to the huge amount of packages and limited human power, full translation cannot be achieved during the whole 21st century. The 20 years of effort, and less than 10% of the translation is finished in all languages (except Catalan that reached 53%). So it's recommended to only translate the patterns.

The ZzTeX macro package is a full-featured TeX macro package specially designed for producing books, journals, and manuals. Development of the package began in 1989. Since then, about 500 textbooks and journals have been produced with it for a variety of publishers. Numerous authors have used the package to produce subsequent editions of their books. ZzTeX runs under Plain TeX. The only documentation available for the package is contained in the zz*.dat files that accompany the TeX files.
El paquet de macro ZzTeX és un paquet de macro TeX amb totes les funcionalitats dissenyat especialment per produir llibres, revistes i manuals. El desenvolupament del paquet va començar el 1989. Des de llavors, s'han produït al voltant de 500 llibres de text i revistes per a una varietat d'editors. Nombrosos autors han utilitzat el paquet per produir edicions posteriors dels seus llibres. It allows setting the paper size and the page layout; it can print crop marks; and it can reflect pages both horizontally and vertically. The package facilities work with TeX (output via dvips or (x)dvipdfm(x)), and with pdfTeX.
