desktop-file-translations is deprecated. This component is permanently locked for new translations, and the translation upstreaming effort started in openSUSE Factory. It will be removed in the future.

desktop-file-translations/update-desktop-files-screensavers is a set of translations, that allows to completely translate the all screensaver desktop files, even if the upstream does not support desktop translation or translation is incomplete. Its benefit/cost ratio is very low, as none of major desktops uses screensaver hacks nowadays. It would be better to join upstream translation effort instead!

The translation is temporarily closed for contributions due to maintenance, please come back later.

It also reproduces the appearance of display on a color television set of the period. In "Basic Programming Mode", a simulated user types in a BASIC program and runs it. In "Text Mode", it displays the output of a program, or the contents of a file or URL. In "Slideshow Mode", it chooses random images and displays them within the limitations of the Apple ][ display hardware. (Six available colors in hi-res mode!) On MacOS and Linux, this program is also a fully-functional VT100 emulator! More triangles are allocated to visually complex parts of the image. This is accomplished by first computing the first derivative of the image: the distance between each pixel and its neighbors (which is essentially edge detection or embossing).
