If you print only via network and if you use only one single CUPS server, there is no need to use CUPS Browsing and have a CUPS daemon running on your host. Instead it is simpler to specify the CUPS server and access it directly.
A possible drawback is that application programs may be delayed for some time (until a timeout happens) when they try to access the CUPS server but it is actually not available (e.g. while traveling with a laptop). Usually it is a host name resolution (DNS) timeout which causes the delay so that it may help to have a hardcoded entry for the CUPS server in the /etc/hosts file.
|

server CUPS přidáte do souboru /etc/hosts.
